Angel Beats!

 Overview:

When Otonashi wakes up, he finds himself dead. When Yuri, a girl carrying a weapon, tells Otonashi that they are in the hereafter, he learns that all he can remember about himself is his name. He is informed by Yuri that she is the leader of the Shinda Sekai Sensen (Afterlife Battlefront), which fights a girl by the name of Tenshi. Otonashi tries to talk to Tenshi since he doesn't think Yuri is telling the truth, but things don't work out that way. Otonashi makes the decision to fight Tenshi by joining the SSS, but he can't help but be drawn to her. He gradually reveals the mysteries of the afterlife while attempting to retrieve his memories and comprehend Tenshi.
