Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day

 Overview:

Jinta Yadomi is content to live a reclusive life, using his days to play video games at home and avoid going to school. His boyhood friend Meiko "Menma" Honma shows up one sweltering summer day and badgers him to fulfill a long-forgotten ambition. She finds it annoying that he ignores her, but he's not really bothered. Menma passed away years ago, after all. Jinta initially believes that he is just hallucinating because of the summer heat, but he eventually comes to believe that what he is seeing is actually Menma's ghost. After Menma's tragic death, Jinta and his childhood pals drifted apart, but they reunite in an attempt to bury Menma's soul. Re-living their pain and guilt, will they be able to find the strength to help not only Menma move on—but themselves as well?
