Blue Lock

Overview:

A split second decision to give the ball to his teammate cost Yoichi Isagi the opportunity to score a goal that would have taken his high school soccer team to the nationals. Isagi is furious, perplexed, and unhappy. He questions whether the result would have been different if he hadn't made the pass. The youthful striker will find an invitation from the Japan Football Union when he gets back home. Isagi was chosen as one of three hundred U-18 strikers for the contentious Blue Lock project through an arbitrary and prejudiced selection process.The ultimate aim of the project is to make one of the chosen players the star forward for the Japanese national team. Every diamond in the rough has to compete against other participants in a series of individual and team events in order to be crowned the best participant. Isagi is driven to succeed despite his ethical concerns about the initiative, even if it means brutally dash the hopes of 299 young strikers who aspire to be like him.
