Overview:

Tanjirou Kamado has been responsible for providing for the family ever since his father passed away. Despite their harsh living conditions on a distant mountain, the Kamado family manages to lead a comparatively contented and tranquil existence. Tanjirou makes the decision to visit the nearby hamlet one day in an attempt to earn some extra cash by selling charcoal. As night falls on his route back, Tanjirou is forced to seek refuge in the home of an odd man who informs him of the presence of flesh-eating demons that prowl the woods at night. The following day, when he does make it home, he discovers the horrible discovery that his entire family has been killed.Even worse, his sister Nezuko—who has been transformed into a ferocious demon—is the only one who has survived. Tanjirou, overcome with fury and hate, makes a vow to exact revenge on his family and stick by his lone surviving sibling. Tanjirou will stop at nothing to defeat the demons and save what little of his dear sister's humanity remains, working with the enigmatic outfit dubbed the Demon Slayer Corps.
