Ao Ashi

Overview:

One player on the local junior high school football team, Ashito Aoi, is the center of attention in this sleepy rural town. Ashito, who is renowned for his erratic movements and conceited style of play, is the only player capable of leading his team to victory in a crucial high school preliminary tournament. Their winning streak, though, is short-lived as Ashito becomes enraged and behaves violently against an opponent, which ends up getting him kicked out of the game. The team exits the tournament very quickly without their star player. Ashito feels hopeless until a youth team coach named Tatsuya Fukuda approaches him. Fukuda sees potential in Ashito and invites him to tryouts in Tokyo. Ashito needs to perform to the best of his abilities in a new environment full of talent in order to establish himself and land a job that could change his life.
