Overview:

After escaping a terrifying water vortex and barely making it out of a barrel, naive Monkey D. Luffy finds himself on a ship under attack from ferocious pirates. He may appear like a simpleton, but don't underestimate him. Luffy, who is unrivalled in combat, is a determined pirate who seeks the One Piece treasure and the title of King of the Pirates that accompanies it. Before he passed away, Gol D. Roger, the late King of the Pirates, roused the globe by revealing the location of his wealth trove and extending an invitation to everyone to claim it. Since then, innumerable strong pirates have ventured across perilous waters in search of the coveted One Piece, only to vanish from sight. Luffy is a powerful opponent and an inspiration to many despite lacking a crew and a suitable ship. He possesses superhuman abilities and an indomitable spirit. Luffy assembles unique friends to accompany him in his audacious endeavour, welcoming dangers and wonders on their once-in-a-lifetime journey, as he cheerfully overcomes many obstacles.
