Overview:

After much fear and hatred, Ken Kaneki has at last accepted the hideous, flesh-craving aspect of himself. Kaneki joins Aogiri Tree, the extremely militant ghoul group that kidnapped him, after escaping from captivity and torture, which causes his companions to doubt his devotion and actual intentions. The government's specialist anti-ghoul agency, the Commission of Counter Ghoul, has stepped up attempts to rid Tokyo entirely of ghouls as hostilities between the ghouls and the government continue to escalate. This puts the ghouls at the Anteiku coffee shop, Kaneki's friends and old allies, in danger of losing their fragile peace. Kaneki, aware of the perilous circumstances, engages in multiple conflicts that threaten to jeopardize his vanishing humanity.
